Appearance--
The Caeruleus vary in height, weight, skin color. Most of the Caeruleus have red almost glowing eyes. However, there are those that have blue to amber almost glowing eyes. Almost glowing, cause they have tapetum lucidum. The same thing that make canines or felines eyes reflect light. Giving the eyes that glow effect. However, the glowing effect with canines, felines have to do with some type of light reflecting onto their eyes. With the Caeruleus, the effect is emotional. Usually, triggered when angry or a quick surge of adrenaline pulses through their bodies.

They aren't high on fashion sense. All Caeruleus wear black full length hooded capes. This disguises part of their faces if seen along with clothes underneath the capes. As for foot wear, some type of black boot is worn. Each Caeruleus have their own preference when it comes to boots. As well as, the clothes for everyday life. Now, their hair is usually white. Length, style depends on the Caeruleus. But, there have been Caeruleus who have very light pink, blue, purple hair. If the Caeruleus try to dye their hair. The next day their natural hair color is back. Wigs aren't effected. Which is why some Caeruleus wear them to fit in when they wish to be out and about.

Most, Caeruleus have little X marks around their neck. The first one appears after they kill a being that their clan has targeted. Or, that someone has paid them to take out. These marks however, will not show up until their first target is given to them by the Leader. Every eighteen year old is given a target at some point before they hit nineteen. These marks, depending on how many targets one is given, will cover the Caeruleus entire body.





Strengths--
Caeruleus have the strength of five men, the agility of a Vampire, and the cunning/cleverness of a fox. They are skilled in many fighting styles. As well as different types of weapons. Some have the power/gifts of elementals. Which means some can use fire, water, ice, earth, light, and all can use darkness. Usually, those with duel gifts are higher ranked among the Caeruleus. The darkness element they all use allows them to hide in shadows. Also, gives the Caeruleus the ability to teleport in a way. Though, teleporting is tricky. They can only teleport into a shadow that is the same height as they are, or if they crouch down. Stay in the realm between too long and Caeruleus can get lost forever. So, only quick jumps. Can bring a person with them, but if it's a human. They will only become a icicle, same as Witches, Shifters if not protected by a charm or some sort of magic.





Weakness--
Light sensitivity; bright light hurts/blinds them. Low lights only annoys them. Caeruleus are similar to Humans, Witches, Vampires, and Shifter. Therefore, they share in some of their weaknesses as well. What they get from the Human, Witches side: Caeruleus can be cursed, and can be kill by mortal means. Major injuries, poisons, decapitation. Vampire, Shifter side: oddly enough, wooden stakes have been known to immobilize the Caeruleus. No one knows why or how the wood stakes work on the Caeruleus, but if stabbed with a stake. Their blood in their bodies stops flowing and they become living statues. As for the Shifter side, pure silver can instantly kill them.





Origin--
Caeruleus have been seen throughout history. Their origin story is believed to be one of the oldest. The legend goes; when the earth was new, dark, cold. The Caeruleus just appeared one day. First no one knew they even existed until. Light was given to the world. The Caeruleus retreated and cursed the light. Thus, when any being is near light, purity. It is said the Caeruleus come out to corrupt, darken the one who is with light. For their world was perfect until man came and needed light to see, to guide them. Human beings are hated above another other creature. It was man who brought the burning sun, then fire, electricity. Man, the only being alive that actually needs light. For this, the Caeruleus have made it their job to darken their souls, spirits, hearts.

They have no classification. Fae will not claim them, nor will the Witches. The Witches that know of them at least. Vampire's fear them as well as Werewolves. These creatures are what nightmares are made out of. Or, it seems. However, weird their story is. No one really knows for sure how they came to be. Or, why they hate any type of light. Even those who seem to be pure of heart, good natured. Some speculate, that the Caeruleus are not that old at all. That the Caeruleus is actually just one human family who's bloodline has been cursed by a Witch. Who was in love and betrayed by the families six times great grandfather. Again, no one can prove it. For those who are lucky, unlucky to see a Caeruleus. They do not live to tell the tale.





Other--
Some say that if one is not given a target at eighteen. Then on his/her nineteenth birthday their life force will be extinguished. None have tempted to go against this unspoken rule. The Caeruleus have their life span slowed. So, they age ten years slower than that of a normal human being. They can mate with any species that is humanoid or has a humanoid figure. However, their offspring will carry the curse as well as the genes of the hair color, glowing eyes. But, they can get the other parents gift/power as well. Sadly, the other parents gift/power will be weak at best. Compared to the potency of the curse. Doesn't matter what species, or generation. Caeruleus, because of their skill sets, have become a assassin clan.
