Both electric and manual toothbrushes can be effective. However, electric toothbrushes may be more efficient at removing plaque for some people.

Acidic foods and drinks (like citrus fruits, soda, and wine) can erode tooth enamel. If you consume them, rinse your mouth with water afterward or wait at least 30 minutes before brushing.

Use about 18 inches of floss, winding most of it around your middle fingers, and gently slide it between your teeth. Curve the floss into a "C" shape against each tooth and move it up and down.

If you have a dry scalp, consider applying a lightweight oil (like jojoba, argan, or coconut oil) to your scalp. Massage the oil in and leave it on for a few hours or overnight before shampooing.
